The Fight To Protect CEQA Goes Beyond SacramentoCEQA is under attack in local and county jurisdictions throughout California. City Councils and Board of Supervisors desperate to generate new revenue for their respective areas are allowing developers to circumvent CEQA time and again. The newest strategy being waged by developers is to collect enough petition signatures to qualify for a Special Election thus giving the elected officials the political cover to approve massive projects without having to undergo a Environmental Impact Report (EIR). We need our Assembly and State Senators to fix this election law loophole that allows deep pocketed developers to bypass CEQA! We are working to protect the environment in California. We are fighting to end attempts by municipalities to circumvent CEQA when it's clearly necessary. We are advocates for our children's and State's future.
